Cookie policy
What is stored on your device, by whom, for how long, and how to change your decision.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text entries that a website stores in your browser. Comparable techniques such as local storage keep data in the browser in the same way. Both are covered by this policy.
Categories
Necessary — required to operate the site and to record your consent decision. These are set without consent because the site cannot be delivered without them.
Statistics — audience measurement with Google Analytics 4. Set only after you consent.
Marketing — advertising measurement signals in Google services, used to attribute enquiries to campaigns. Set only after you consent. No advertising is displayed on this site.
Entries actually stored
ccn.consent.v1 — provider: this website (local storage) — purpose: stores your consent decision with a timestamp and the text version shown to you, as proof of consent — lifetime: until you delete it or the text version changes — category: necessary.
_ga — provider: Google Ireland Limited — purpose: distinguishes visitors — lifetime: up to 2 years — category: statistics.
_ga_<container-id> — provider: Google Ireland Limited — purpose: maintains the session state for the measurement ID of this site — lifetime: up to 2 years — category: statistics.
Nothing else is stored. Without consent the only entry on your device is ccn.consent.v1; the Google entries appear only once statistics consent has been given.
Legal basis
Necessary entries are stored on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating and securing the site, and to document your decision (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Every other entry requires your prior consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). Nothing in the statistics or marketing category is stored before you consent.
Changing or withdrawing your decision
Use the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of any page. You can accept all, reject all, or select categories individually.
A withdrawal takes effect immediately: measurement stops in the current session and no further data is sent.
Further information
The purposes, recipients, retention periods and third-country transfers behind these entries are described in our privacy notice.
